Technical Advisory Committees & Working Groups
US SHIP pulls together the work of a number of Technical Advisory Committees and associated working groups on an as needed basis to assess, review, develop, and put forth information that collectively aims to inform proposed updates to the US SHIP Program Standards (requirements for certification).
Outcomes from the Technical Advisory Committees and/or associated working groups are then brought forward to the US SHIP Program Administration to be considered by the US SHIP House of Delegates (US SHIP HOD).
Technical Advisory Committees are led by subject matter experts with broader committee membership being inclusive of broad representation of industry, state, federal partners.
The focus areas of the US SHIP Technical Advisory Committees, working groups, and US SHIP program standards center on:
- Biosecurity
- Traceability
- Sampling & Testing (Disease Surveillance)
